Is Event Horizon a doom?

Event Horizon + Dredd = DOOM. MAKE IT HAPPEN, HOLLYWOOD. Event Horizion is actually the reason the Doom movie has barely anything to do with Doom, when EH was in pre-production, executives decided the Doom script was too similar so they made them make drastic changes like making all the demons a zombie virus.

Warhammer 40,000 is a miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop. It is the most popular miniature wargame in the world, especially in Britain. The first edition of the rulebook was published in September 1987, and the ninth and current edition was released in July 2020.

Interesting read, and I guess, something we can fantasize about and pretend Event Horizon takes place in the same universe as 40K (only earlier of course). Reading this makes me wish I had gotten more into Warhammer, me and some friends spent a ton of money on everything but just found it a bit too difficult.
